Distributed (empty) writer's notebooks for collecting Double entry journals, model texts, and drafts of students' own writing.
Checked DEJs on "Short Assignments" and "Shitty First Drafts" (16--27) from Anne Lamott for completion, for class participation credit.
Discussed passages and reactions from the DEJs; filed them in the writer's notebooks.
Reviewed expectations for writers' workshop.
Students had time for writers' workshop (reading, working on drafts, etc.)
DUE DATES
THURSDAY, February 2: Have a rough draft ready to share in Google Docs and share it with class and with me.
FRIDAY, February 3: First writer's group meeting.
